This edition introduces new gameplay features beyond just a new map. You’ll encounter tunnels that may require additional cards to build, ferries that need locomotive cards to claim, and stations that let you use an opponent's route by sacrificing a few points. The game also includes larger format cards and Train Station pieces.
The core objective remains consistent: collect and play train cards to place your pieces on the board and connect cities on your Destination Tickets. Points are awarded for placing trains and completing tickets, while uncompleted tickets result in point deductions. The player with the highest score at the end of the game emerges victorious.
