Yoroni

The Yoroni are the returned spirits of the ancient War of Hosts—primordial shards of Creation and Destruction who once fought under the Four Horsemen, at the dawn of the cosmos itself. When the Dragons triumphed over the Horsemen, these humble motes of primordial power were cast into the Elemental Cores of Balance, intended to be broken down or transformed by the overwhelming forces of the environment.

For millennia, they endured, their power slowly eroded as they were ground down by the inhospitable forces of the Elemental Cores. But as the age of mankind began, a unique tribe, devoted to balance and its constituent parts—Element and Void—sought to connect with these lost spirits. Through centuries of prayer and devotion, they unknowingly called the primordial spirits back to their beliefs, creating a pathway that the spirits would eventually climb.

It took countless ages of toil and discipline, but one by one, the spirits ascended, building a monumental Pagoda of Enlightenment within the depths of Balance. A place of learning, meditation, and refinement, this ethereal structure grew as the spirits honed their power and ascended toward their promised heaven.

But now, after eons of devotion, something has changed. The Mantle separating the Prime from the Elements has weakened, allowing the highest layers of the Pagoda to breach the Veil, and the most enlightened of the Yoroni are now able to step through into the mortal world—bringing their ancient power and ascension to reshape the battlefield.

How do they play?

The Yoroni are the ultimate elite brawlers—fearless warriors who thrive in the heart of battle, ready to face any enemy head-on and endure the fiercest of onslaughts. But don’t let their brute strength fool you—they come with a host of strategic tricks that make them a force to be reckoned with.

Yoroni armies bring two groundbreaking new Faction Rules to the table, completely changing the way you approach gameplay! Every Yoroni Character or Regiment belongs to one of five Types, each tied to a powerful Ideal Card. These cards aren’t just for show—they allow you to activate any Regiment or Character in the game, regardless of Type. But here’s the catch: When an Ideal Card activates a Regiment of the same Type, it grants that Regiment additional abilities, making it even deadlier. Timing and sequencing are everything—activate in the right order, and you’ll gain the upper hand in battle, as these special effects could be the key to turning the tide!

Building your army is also a unique experience. The Yoroni introduce Modular Regiments—a flexible army construction system that lets you mix and match Stands to create specialized units. Choose any combination of Stands, designate one as the Regiment’s Leader, and make sure at least half of your Stands match the Leader Stand. This modular approach gives you the flexibility to design regiments that suit your preferred playstyle, adding even more tactical depth to your force.
