Description
In Dixit, each turn, one player acts as the storyteller, selecting one of the six cards in their hand and crafting a sentence inspired by the image on that card. The storyteller announces the sentence aloud but does not reveal the card itself. The other players then choose the card from their own hand that best matches the sentence and submit it to the storyteller, keeping their chosen card hidden from view.
The storyteller shuffles their card with those received from the other players and then reveals all the cards. Each player, excluding the storyteller, secretly guesses which card belongs to the storyteller. If no one or everyone guesses correctly, the storyteller scores 0 points, and all other players earn 2 points each. If some players guess correctly, both the storyteller and the correct guessers score 3 points. Additionally, non-storyteller players earn 1 point for each vote their card receives.
The game concludes when the deck is exhausted or when a player accumulates at least 30 points. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.
The Dixit base game and its expansions each include 84 cards, which can be combined and mixed as desired.
