Descent: Legends of the Dark – The Betrayer's War, also known as Descent Act II, is an expansive and highly cooperative dungeon crawler driven by player decisions, with gameplay facilitated by an app that eliminates the need for a Game Master. The game's rich and immersive storyline is filled with surprises and twists designed to captivate players of all skill levels. Whether played solo or with up to four players, the game emphasizes cooperation and strategic teamwork to overcome its challenges.
Building on the excitement of its predecessor, The Betrayer's War introduces new villains, quests, and game mechanics. Players return to Terrinoth, where they form an unexpected alliance with their former enemy, Waiqar the Betrayer. Together, they must confront dragon armies and the dark schemes of the Uthuk Y’llan. The original six heroes make a return, each with updated hero cards and new abilities, as they fight against the looming threat of the Dragonlord Levirax and defend their legacy.
